5 years ago I closed down my Acupuncture Clinic that I loved. It was a Tuesday morning. When I woke, I found that I couldn’t stand up, my speech was slurred and I had lost sensation in my arm.

I was brought to A&E to be told I needed brain surgery.

On the journey to Beaumont hospital, I focused on the straps of the ambulance bed to avoid feeling the shock. This had not been part of my plan.

In the months following surgery, I kept my focus on regaining my speech and balance.
Life was again thrown into uncertainty when the relationship I was in ended and I was suddenly a single mom to my 2 children.

I started writing. Because I had no idea what else to do. So every morning I picked up my diary and wrote the tears away. Every evening while the children slept, I wrote out my plans and hopes for the future.

That was 5 years ago. I have never stopped writing. It has become a big part of my life and my work since.  Now I write to help people to grow through their challenges so they can live with big hearted joy.

But today everything comes full circle. I am healthier than I ever was and my desire to help people to feel good has only grown stronger.

So I have set up my Acupuncture Clinic again. 

This time I’m doing things differently. My focus is on helping you to live a big-hearted life. Because so often, behind that back pain or headache, is a feeling of sadness, anger or overwhelm. I take the time to listen. To hear what you have to say. To read between the lines. Then Big Hearted Acupuncture comes into the picture. You see, when your emotions are balanced, you thrive.

When your mind gets a chance to rest; you feel calm, clear and focused. When you are pain-free, you can enjoy life.  We are meant to be happy. And if that sounds impossible for you right now, that’s ok. Sometimes the right support is all it takes to turn your life around.
